Manika Batra was born on June 15, 1995 in Delhi, she is the youngest of three children. She started playing TT when She was 4 years old. Her childhood life was not easy as She changed many schools for better training opportunities and ended up at Hansraj Model School. She won the state championship in the under-8 category.

After that, She decided to be trained by trainer Sandeep Gupta. Eventually, She became the top player of Delhi and then in the state level tournament. Later, he went to Jesus and Mary College, but it was difficult to go to college.

She was still involved in training and travel, so he left JMC and went for correspondence and BA program at DU. She even received a retirement plan which She left to focus on table tennis. Many people advised her to quit acting and opt for acting, but she continued to pursue her dream.

Nothing can break Manika Batra’s mind because she always decides to do what she really wants. In the under-21 Chile Open in 2011, She won the silver medal making the whole country proud. But that was just the beginning of Manika’s glorious journey. Manika represented India at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. She became a quarterback. In the 2014 Asian Games, Manika also made the fourth round. At the 2015 Commonwealth Tennis Championships, She won three medals; two silver medals in women’s singles and women’s doubles and bronze medals in women’s singles.

Also at the 2016 South Asian Games, Manika Batra shines as a star player winning three gold medals. She made women’s doubles, mixed doubles and women’s singles. In addition, she qualified for the women’s singles event in the 2016 Summer Olympics after Manika Batra won the 2016 qualifying tournament in the South Asian team. But, unfortunately, she lost in the first round of the women’s singles event.

In the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Manika won the gold medal in the final with a brilliant performance.
